Dearest Ka Bel,

We and our friends send fraternal greetings and wish you the best in the struggle under your difficult conditions of unjust and illegal arrest and now one year detention. What an outrage! We are hopeful that the efforts of the working class movement will secure your release in the near future.

The leadership example and inspiration that you provide the working class of the Philippines, which we witnessed first hand during our participation in ISA in 2003, will not be contained, lost or diminished by state repression, a repression clearly directed at keeping down the working class and the Philippine people from their just struggle and aspirations for genuine working class rights, democracy and freedom.

We salute you with warm hearts and pledge to continue our modest efforts in the working class movement in the United States as well as our efforts in support of the Philippine trade union movement.

Long live international working class solidarity!

Fraternally,

Mark and Melissa Dimondstein
