KMU and its affiliate labor unions and organizations will lead a nationally-coordinated protest action tomorrow, April 25, in preparation for the Labor Day nationwide rallies next week.

The protests tomorrow will range from work stoppages, slow down protests, lunch break and locker room assemblies, streamer hanging, ribbon-wearing and pickets inside factories and workplaces, pickets at regional DoLE offices and city-wide caravans and mobile pickets will also take place.

In Metro Manila, workers from Pasig, Valenzuela City, North Manila and South Manila (Alabang, Bicutan, Makati, FTI, Pasay) industrial belts will hold decentralized protest actions inside their factories. Port workers from North Harbor will hold a two-hour work stoppage. Organizations of urban poor from various communities in NCR will also conduct local assemblies and activities. Around 50 companies from Metro Manila are expected to participate in the activities tomorrow.

In other regions, workers from Central Luzon, Southern Luzon industrial enclaves and technoparks, Bicol, Cebu, Iloilo-Panay and Davao cities will hold localized actions that will range from factory-based protests and pickets at local DoLE offices.

"The coordinated actions tomorrow serves as unifying activities for our Labor Day schedules," said Labog.
