People have more arenas for battle outside Congress

"If Arroyo and her solon cohorts think they are winning the battle for her stay in power, then we shall prove them wrong."

KMU Secretary General Wilson Baldonaza slammed the House committee on justice's ruling today that favored for the dismissal of the impeachment complaint.

"The grounds for Arroyo's impeachment have always been valid. Her long list of crimes from economic plunder to political repression have merited for the people's call to oust her.

"The workers alone, have recently been slapped with massive wage freezes, union bustings, and criminalization and gestapo-like arrests," Baldonaza elaborated.

"If Arroyo's lap dogs think they can boss around in congressional halls, the people can wage battles in more arenas outside. The people's collective pursuit for justice will never be hindered by parliament technicalities, and will resound in every street and corner.

"If for anything, we have used the heat of the resumption of impeachment proceedings to further expose the oppression and rottenness of the regime," Baldonaza said.
