International Appeal for Support to Victims of Typhoon Durian

2006/12/05 - 12:44pm
Warm Greetings of Solidarity!

The toll from Typhoon Reming (international name Durian) has reached 1,000 dead or missing. Millions more have been affected due to mudflows, floods and massive blackout, many are without electricity and clean water for days now. The typhoon had also taken the very few things they possess.

Many factories also have been buried or destroyed by the typhoon like Isarog Pulp where workers are facing another disaster because of possibility of losing their jobs.

We ask you to extend a helping hand to the poor families who are suffering right now due to the effects of the typhoon Reming. Please share the following:

1 Rice

2 Canned Goods

3 Clean water

4 Candles

5 Medicines

6 Clothes

7 Mats, Blankets and Mosquito Nets

8 Cooking and Eating utensils

9 Tents and sacks

10 Light construction materials

Please send your donations to Balai Obrero Foundation #63 Narra Street, Barangay Claro 1102 Quezon City or email us for further details

Or you can volunteer for the Relief Mission on December 20, 2006 for the communities in Albay
