Stop Trade Union Repression In a picket held in front of the Rizal office of the Labor Department, workers of the Antipolo plant of RC Cola Philippines and their supporters expressed anger over the illegal dismissal of union officers fighting for union recognition, saying the management’s move is a desperate act of repression.

28 June 2011 Labor leader Leonardo “Ka Ben” Perez, 59, succumbed to lung cancer and passed away last night at 8:00 at his home in Marikina City.
He was president of the Alliance of Nationalist and Genuine Labor Organizations or Anglo, national council member of the Kilusang Mayo Uno, and vice-chairperson of Anakpawis Partylist-Marikina when he died.
