Unemployment statistics shows reason in desperation of Filipinos recruited in Blackwater USA

The latest quarterly employment statistics released by National Statistics Office (NSO) only affirms the reason for desperation of Filipinos being hired as mercenaries to fight the US wars abroad under the Blackwater USA said the militant labor center Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU).

Unemployment in April reached 8.2 percent from 8.1 percent in January this year. Unemployed Filipinos totaled 2.93 million in April compared with 2.8 million in January and 2.91 million in April 2005.  read full article »
